I purchased a brand new camera a couple of days ago – the Canon PowerShot A75. It was a replacement for my Canon PowerShot A60, which was damaged either from taking a photo of me (something inside it must have cracked), or from dropping it on concrete.
I bought it from Dick Smith Electronics, for AU$348 – that’s AU$152 cheaper than what I paid for my A60 a little over a year ago. I’m still waiting for my laptop model to go down in price…. why does every bit of technology usually drop in price right after you buy it? And why is everything cheaper in the US? I’ve just found the A75 on Amazon for AU$228 not including shipping (based on today’s exchange rate).
So, as I’ve now got a new camera, with more features and resolution to play with, there’ll be some more photos coming to the gallery soon. Unfortunately it’s just the end of Spring now, so the best of the flower season has gone. I did, however, take over 400 photos at Canberra’s recent annual flower festival – Floriade. I’ve uploaded five of them so far to my online gallery – keep an eye out soon for the rest.
