Yay! I am finally 18. I’ve waited quite a while for this, and it seems to have taken longer because most of my friends are older than me…. effectively making me feel younger. But, I’m here, and I can now:
- Hang out with friends when they go to clubs
- Get a credit card
- Be considered an adult
- Trade on the share market
There’s probably a few more things I can do too, but they don’t interest me!
So, I turned 18 last Saturday, the 14th of January, and had a great party on the Friday night before. I took a bunch of friends out for dinner at La Scala, an Italian restaurant in the city, and then was reminded of my childhood as my parents showed a video & powerpoint presentation back at our house after dinner. I started off my adulthood by visiting the Southern Cross Club in Woden when I was 18 and 15 minutes old (well, by the midnight timing anyway), and then visited the casino where I watched my boss win $75 at Pontoon and Blackjack. It looked like a lot of fun!
Once I had woken up on Saturday, I submitted my credit card applications, and started filling out an application for a share trading account. I’ve been watching some shares for awhile – but still have a lot to learn – and am considering investing in Engin to start off with. And, once my credit card applications are approved, Dad will breathe a sigh of relief as his credit bill drops by 50%!
So, that’s it – I’m now 18.

YAY for Tim!!!!! =) =D
