Outcome of the 2007 federal election

I am disappointed. The Howard and Costello team played a large part in growing Australia’s economy – they abolished the debt their government inherited from Labor, they took unemployment to a 33 year low, and they had the guts to implement change where it was needed. Yet the majority of Australians decided that they’d prefer [...]

A short update

I don’t have much to write at this point in time, mostly because I have alot of other things to do, but there are a few quick things I wanted to write about.
I got offered a job by the AEC yesterday – working as a polling assistant on polling day! So, no further political comments [...]

Just in time

On the weekend I posted that I needed people to make me do my tax return so that I don’t get it in late…
Well, I am pleased to advise that I got it in tonight (or rather last night because it’s now technically Thursday), at 7 minutes to midnight – being just within the de [...]

Tiredness

Joe Hockey on Hack

Joe Hockey, Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, was interviewed on Hack, Triple J’s youth current affairs program, on Thursday (listen here). I’ve just been listening to the podcast of it – he was very down to earth, and made some very good points. I wrote a message on his Facebook wall to let him [...]

Tax

For some reason I am very against doing my tax. Someone needs to make me do it this weekend – please!

Appointed as a director of CCRL

Tonight I was appointed as a director of Canberra Christian Radio Limited (CCRL), the autonomous body behind 1WAY FM, at their annual general meeting.
I haven’t written much yet on my reflections of almost three weeks in my new job, and it’s 11 o’clock at night now so this certainly won’t be a long post. But [...]
