I don’t have much to write at this point in time, mostly because I have alot of other things to do, but there are a few quick things I wanted to write about.
I got offered a job by the AEC yesterday – working as a polling assistant on polling day! So, no further political comments will be made by me on this blog, in order to comply with the AEC’s position on political neutrality. At almost $300 for the day, it’ll be quite helpful in helping me get back to a cash flow positive status with my personal finances!
I don’t get sick very often… I think I take on average one sick day a year… and this year’s sick day was on Tuesday – I came down with some sort of summer flu – sore throat, blocked nose, tiredness, a slight headache – the lot. It wasn’t very pleasant! I find it hard to sleep during the day, so even though I was incredibly tired I had to wait until night time to hit the pillow. It was a partly productive day though – I wouldn’t have been able to focus on work at all, but I managed to start cleaning up parts of the house which haven’t been cleaned in a very long time. Some of it has been sitting there since I moved back in five months ago, and some of it has even been sitting there since I first moved out over a year ago! I now know where to find things like those bills I’m supposed to pay (before they were just lying somewhere on my floor, because their usual location in a document tray on my desk had not yet been cleaned up!).
I’m off to Sydney this weekend to visit Heart 1032′s open day – and to say a happy third birthday to one of my little cousins. I’ll be taking a lot of photos and video at the open day, and I’ll post some of it here when I return!
