Benazir Bhutto & David Hicks

I was looking through my e-mails yesterday morning and saw a CNN news alert where Larry King was discussing former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto’s assassination – and I thought, hmm, they missed the word ‘attempted’ there. But low and behold, after some digging below the Christmas and holiday news at the headlines of the [...]

This could revolutionise cooking in our household

Cooking is honestly the hardest thing about living without a mum in the house. After many months (I’ve stopped counting now), we still really don’t know how to do it. I’m so used to Dad organising everything we’re going to do and just going along with it… but this will be my first Christmas without my family.
Hmm. [...]

Dialup internet, Sydney, and the ACT Liberals

I’ve decided that I’m missing writing on here enough to warrant venturing, slowly I might add, back into the world of dialup Internet.
I have discovered tonight that once Windows automatic updates start, I can’t actually stop them. And whilst I can try in vain to terminate wuauclt.exe, it can always just start up again seven [...]

Broken internet

I would just like to say that I am still alive, our Internet at home is just broken at the moment.
It’s a very interesting experience. For instance, as housemates, we are socialising a lot more.
I’ll be back regularly when the Internet is fixed again…
