G’day, I’m Tim. I’m an IT nut … turned media nut living in Melbourne, Australia (moved from Canberra in November 2009). I’m a moderately conservative but still sometimes liberal political pundit-wannabe (basically, I don’t know where I am). I like bananas. My family live in Thailand. I’m opinionated. I like to be controversial. I have no idea what I’ll be doing ten years from now but that excites me. I want to be a high achiever. I want to change the world. I never want to get tired of learning. I’m imperfect and saved by grace.
I’m here because I enjoy my life and the challenges that it brings. I do not want to be doing the same old thing every day – I want to learn new things, visit new places, and live a life on earth that I will enjoy and that those I come in contact with will remember. I want to be radical. I want to be a revolutionary. I want the world to be a better place for having had me in it.
I enjoy people. People who are different – who have decided that they don’t need to fit into the mould that everyone else does, and who have decided to do their own thing the way they want to do it. People who ooze personality. People who make me laugh and smile. People who can lift others up just by being themselves. And people who have experienced a lot and love talking about it.
I am a Christian – born again, Jesus follower – whatever you want to call it, God is the direction for my life and nothing else comes before Him. I’m in to media, technology and politics. I’m a radio communicator, a computer programmer, a blogger, a photographer, a drummer, a guitarist, and an avid reader. I love travelling. I like to read into people and make assumptions about their character. I like to be up to date with current affairs. I like cooking Italian food. I enjoy playing soccer, swimming, and cycling. I love learning. I only enjoy something if I learn from it. I’m an ex-businessman and haven’t ruled out another entry into business. I left school in grade nine to start a business and haven’t been to school since. I’m laid-back and always late to everything. I think I’m addicted to social networking sites.
