Hi Mike, I phoned your electorate office today to encourage you to vote for Kevin Rudd in Monday’s leadership ballot. However, after seeing your name this afternoon on an Age article as a decided supporter of Julia Gillard, I wanted to write to re-iterate my encouragement.
I don’t believe Julia Gillard has a way ahead for Australia.
There’s a new social networking tool on the horizon. And when I say new, it has actually been around for 10 months, but of course just hasn’t yet gone “mainstream”. It’s Instagram – and it’s growing rapidly, with over four million users worldwide. To be that well used there must be something about it, and I tend to think there is: because Instagram has inspired my own search for creativity.
The debate for gay marriage is raging in Australia – and this week marks seven years since the Marriage Amendment Act 2004 was passed. Equal marriage rallies were held around Australia over the weekend and today the National Marriage Day rally is being held at Parliament House. But this political debate, more than others, has been turning nasty.
On Monday, I posted a picture on Facebook and Twitter of a note I’d been given by a random girl on the tram. The note – which you can see on the right – was picked up by the media today!
