For another month-and-a-half, the National Gallery in Victoria is exhibiting works from Vienna, Austria from a period of rapid change at the turn of the 20th century. I’m new to the appreciating-art world, and this exhibition caught my attention because of its byline: “A little over 100 years ago in Vienna, Austria, a group of radical young creators and thinkers overturned all the rules and created a brave new world.”

I’m not usually a quick changer of brands when something goes wrong. Partly due to the hassle of changing but also because I like to stick it out and give a chance for mistakes to be rectified. I’ve neglected to change banks when frustration arose, but recently decided enough was enough with one particular mobile network!

I realised that through mucking around with various online services over the years – and especially this year – I’ve come up with an impromptu arrangement that pretty much mitigates my life from technical disaster. That’s disasters such as hard disk crashes, computers being stolen, or even my home burning down.
