Seems like AOL recently released tons of data (657k users worth) from their search engine. I haven’t had a chance to read much about it yet, or read into the data, but it’s 1) bad for those users – privacy implications, however 2) it’s pretty valuable stuff for search engine marketing.

A new version of the Opera Web Browser has been released – check it out at the Opera download site. Lycos in Europe have developed a screensaver that can help bring down spammers. When your computer is idle, it sends out requests to websites known to be promoted in spam messages, with the hopes of substantially increasing the spammer’s bandwidth bills.
