Tim's thoughts, words, findings, musings, and rants

This is a repost of a post I made on the Malones in Thailand website.
The time has come…. this afternoon I fly out of Bangkok after spending a month here with my family.
I’m not really sure what else to write here other than the obvious. I’ll certainly miss them, and I’m sure they’ll miss me [...]

We’ve been here in Thailand now for over a week, and it’s just under three weeks until I go back home to Canberra. People ask me how it’s going, and how I’m feeling, and really, at the moment everything [...]

The time has come… we’re off to Thailand tomorrow morning.
Today is the last day in Australia for likely three years for mum, dad, Karis and Matt. I’ll be back in a month – I’m only going to help them settle in & get set up – but that month will likely go rather quickly. Come [...]

I just came across the site of a Swiss photographer who has lived in Australia for a few years. With an Italian friend, he is setting off in a couple of weeks to ride back to Switzerland. So far, their prospoed route goes from Darwin through West Timor, Bali, Brunei, Singapore and Ho Chi Minh [...]

I arrived home in Canberra at lunchtime on Saturday, and am still feeling tired from the long flights and the 11 hour time difference that I still haven’t fully adjusted to.
But, the trip was great – and I certainly want to go back to Europe again! I have plans for a 3 month around Europe [...]

More photos have been uploaded from Rome, Florence and Venice. I haven’t put captions on anything yet, though, so for now you’ll just have to figure out what everything is.

The great thing about Europe is that everything is so close, and air travel is so cheap on the budget airlines like Ryanair and Easyjet. So, I’m going to Germany for 3 days next week, just before I leave the UK! I booked the trip today through the STA Travel branch in Victoria, London, and [...]

We got back to England from Italy on Monday night. We had a great time – visited Rome, Florence, Pisa and Venice. There was so much more we could have done, but in the time that we had it was a great trip. The highlights for each place we visited would have been:
Rome: The highlights [...]
